Jiro Wang gained fame as a member of the Taiwanese boy band Fahrenheit (飞轮海, Fēi Lún Hǎi). Now pursuing a solo career, he brings a warm and heartfelt performance to 够爱 (Gòu Ài).This heartfelt ballad, centered on love, longing, and sacrifice, features a melody that is both tender and heartbreaking, beautifully reflecting the song’s poignant themes.
The Song’s Origin: An Enduring Gem
Enough Love was composed by Shu Chen (陈德修, Chén Déxiū) in 2007 for the TV series The X-Family (终极一家, Zhōngjí Yījiā). The song was performed by R. Chord (謝和弦, Xiè Héxián), who also penned the lyrics. Despite its creation for the series, it wasn’t included in the official drama soundtrack.
In 2009, singer Pets Tseng (曾沛慈, Céng Pèicí) and the band Dong Cheng Wei (东城卫, Dōngchéng Wèi), co-founded by Shu Chen, recorded their own version of “Enough Love” for the Taiwanese drama K.O.3an Guo (终极三国, Zhōng Jí Sān Guó). This rendition was featured as the ending theme and included in the official soundtrack.
In 2010, Dōngchéng Wèi reworked the song once more, featuring the new arrangement on their mini-album released by Warner Music that same year.
Since then, Enough Love has been covered multiple times, becoming a symbol of emotional ballads. However, the song’s history is not without controversy, as it sparked a legal dispute over its authorship. In 2020, lyricist R. Chord uploaded an adapted version to YouTube, claiming himself as the sole composer, which led to a legal battle that ultimately favored Shu Chen, affirming his status as the song’s rightful composer.

The lyrics explore the complexity of love—how it’s not always perfect, yet it’s still worth fighting for. Enough Love speaks to the deep sacrifices that come with giving everything for love, even when it leads to heartache—a feeling anyone who’s loved can relate to.

Jiro Wang's 2023 Live Performance - A Fan-Favorite
Jiro Wang, known for his love of cosplay, adds an extra layer of fun to his 2023 performance. Midway through the show, he transforms into his K.O. One character, Gui Long (鬼龙, Guǐ Lóng), and delights the audience with an energetic portrayal.
Personally, I haven’t seen the K.O. One series, which is known for spoofing the 14th-century Chinese novel “Romance of the Three Kingdoms.” My tastes generally lean toward romance and serious historical dramas. That said, I couldn’t help but be swept up in the excitement when Jiro Wang rose up from beneath the stage. His performance alongside Shu Chen, the composer of the song, has become a fan favorite, amassing millions of views.
